Ayuda
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
En lo que representa a la placa base en spcifications-stotage, me pone;
Southbridge
-6x SATA 3.0 Gb/ports
-Intel Matrix Storage Technology supports RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10.
JMicron JMB363 PATA and SATA controller
-1x UltraDMA 133/100/66 for up to 2 PATA devices
-1x Internal SATA 3.0 Gb/s port
-1x External SATA 3.0 Gb/s port (SATA On-the-Go)
-Support SATA RAID 0, 1 and JBOD
Por favor si alguien supiese interpretarme esto para poderlo entender podría hacérmelo saber.
Con respecto a la RAID me pone;
(Esto sobre el puerto externo)
-External SATA port. This port connects to an externañ SATA box or a Serial ATA por multiplier. This port supports a Serial ATA hard disk drive that you can combine with and external Serial ATA 3.0 Gb/s device to configure a RAID 0, RAID 1, or JBOD ser throough the onboard JMicron SATA RAID controller.
The external SATA port supports external Seial ATA 3.0Gb/ devices. Longer cables support higher power requirements to deliver signal up to two meters away, and enables improved hot-swap function.
Before creating a RAID set using Serial ATA hard disks, make sure that you have connected the Serial ATA signal cable and installer Serial ATA hard disk drives; otherwise, you cannot enter the JMicron RAID utility and SATA BIOS setup during POST.
If you intend to create a RAID configuration using this connector, set the JMicron Controller item in the BIOS to (RAID Mode). See section ¨4.4.6 onboard Device Configuration¨ for details.
DO NOT inser a diferen connector to this port.
DO NOT unplug the external Serial ATA box when a RAID 0 or JBOD is configured.
(Sobre los internos)
ICH8R Serial SATA connectors (7-pin SATA1(red), SATA2(red), SATA3 (black), SATA4 (black), SATA5 (red), SATA6 (red))
These connectors are for the Serial ATA signal cables for Serial ATA hard disk drives.
If you installed Serial ATA hard disk drives, you can create a RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 10 configuration with the Intel Matrix Storage Technology through the onboard Intel ICH8R RAID controller.
-These connectors are set to Standard IDE mode by default. In Standard IDE mode, you can connect Serial ATA boot/data hard disk drives to these connectors. If you intend to create a Serial ATA RAID set using these connectors, set the (Configure SATA as) item in the BIOS to (RAID). See section ¨4.3.6 IDE Configuration¨ on page 4-14 for details.
-For RAID 5, use at least three hard disk drives. For RAID 10, use at least four hard disk drives. Use two to four Serial ATA hard disk drives for each RAID 0 or RAID 1 set.
-You must install windows 2000 service pack 4 or the windows XP service pack 1 before using Serial ATA hard disk drives. The Serial ATA RAID feature (RAID 0/RAID 1/RAID 5/RAID 10) is available only if you are using windows 2000/xp of later version.
-When using the connectors in Standard IDE mode, connect the primary (boot) hard disk drive to the SATA 1/2/6 connector. Refer to the table below for the recommended SATA hard disk drive connections.
(Esto sobre el JMicron, un conector que esta aparte para un disco duro, o eso creo)
JMicron JMB363 Sesial ATA RAID connector (7-pin SATA_RAID)
This connector is for a Serial ATA signal cable. This connector supports a Serial ATA hard disk drive that you can configure for RAID through the onboard Serial ATA RAID controller.
-The JMicron JMB636 controller item in the BIOS is set to (AHCI) by default, allowing you to use the connectors to build a RAID set. See section ¨4.4.6 onboard device configuration¨ for details.
-Before creating a RAID set using Serial ATA hard disks, make sure that you have connected the Serial ATA signal cables and installed Serial ATA hard disk drives; otherwise, you cannot enter the JMicrom JMB363 RAID utility and SATA BIOS setup during POST.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Mi sistema operativo es el Windows XP profesional service pack 2 ¿como podría saber si es de 32 o 64 bits?, ya que para hacer un disquete de arranque me pone esto en el CD de la placa y tampoco se que es lo que seria mejor el ICH8 o JMicron;
Make disk
Make intel ICH8 32 bit RAID/AHCI driver disk
Make intel ICH8 64 bit RAID/AHCI driver disk
Make JMicron JMB363 32 bit RAID/AHCI driver disk
Make JMicron JMB363 32 bit RAID/AHCI driver disk
