Controladora SATAII PCIe x1 2Ports

Hola!

Soy un usuario de Windows y novato en Ubuntu-Debian.
Quiero instalar dos HD de 1TB en raid1 con una controladora SATA Serial ATA/300 en PCIe x1, para datos archivo y proteccion.
Despues de remirar no aparece muy claro, por mi poco conocimiento, sobre cual elegir.
He visto esta: Promise FastTrak TX2650 http://www.alternate.es/html/product/details.html?artno=FPBP 50&showTechData=true
Pero aunque no se ve que tenga drivers para linux (Ubuntu); en la pagina de Promise sí aparecen :

Que os parece? conoceis alguna otra mejor de similares características para Ubuntu.
No se si esto me ocasionaria muchos golpes en la cabeza con Ubuntu.
Lo veo casi muy claro....pero, me gustaría saber vuestra opinion.-
